Made in Taiwan

Between 2016 and 2017, I roamed the outskirts of Taipei, capturing the essence of industrial landscapes and industrial evolution. The project aims to document the changes in these areas due to heavy competition and economic pressure from mainland China, as well as the impact on Taiwan's economy. It's a constant interplay of progress and transformation, success and failure, wealth and poverty. An intricate relationship between industry and identity, as the label "Made in Taiwan" has shaped the country during its high point in the 1990s and early 2000s.

This project is ongoing (2024).
